Shalara Show Kennels started in 2000 when my I brought my first English Springer into my life. Topher was a field bred dog from Johnson Kennels in North Carolina and we competed in agility, flyball, and Frisbee; we also starred in a couple local shows, putting us on the front page of the paper. Together we visited nursing homes and children’s hospitals where Topher was a big hit. Soon after Topher was brought into our lives I wanted to continue competing in conformation and Junior Showmanship, which brought me to Tennessee to pick up my second Springer Ch Streamline’s King of Hearts, aka Sam, from Renee Holt of Streamline Kennels. After finishing Sam we found an amazing home for him where he will live out the rest of his life as a couch potato!

In August 2006 I married a long time friend and owner of Golden Retrievers, Kasey Brooks. We started traveling together to shows about two years prior and ended up getting hooked. Both of us actively compete in conformation, obedience and agility with all of our dogs.

June 2007 we welcomed our first child, Julian Lee. He enjoys coming to the shows and has picked his favorietes around the rings.

We are currently active in Rottweilers and Golden Retrievers. We are members of our local club and of our National Breed Clubs.

Morgan Brooks

I have been involved in conformation since 1994 when I met Bobbe Jackson and Lynn Rowell of Goosecreek Petit Basset Griffon Vandeens (PBGVs for short) and Michelle Lennon of Chellen Rottweilers from the Greater Monroe Kennel Club, where I was an active member. From there I worked under top handlers in Florida to ripen my skills. In 2003 I started my career as a professional handler with my first client, Lola a Great Pyr, who finished with all majors and started her show career with a Group 4, putting her in the record books as the youngest pyr to ever take a group placement.
Since then I have specialized in Sporting and Working and also finished numerous breeds in other groups while putting others in the record books and hall of fame. I thank all of my clients who have been with me from the start and those who have jumped on the band wagon since then. Without you and your beautifully bred dogs I would not be where I am today.

Kasey Brooks

In 2001 I got started when Margie Sarkin of Goldruls Goldens gave me my first Golden, Calvin. With him I got involved in conformation and started working for long time breeder, Sally Ray of Ray Goldens in Jacksonville , FL. Learning most everything from her I started grooming and showing other Goldens from her and other local kennels. Because of the accomplishments I have made in the Golden Retriever ring I brought Tray into the picture from Marcia Thompson of WhiteWolf’s Kennel in Spring Hill , FL. I continue to make appearances in the ring when needed.
